About Jacob Jacoby

Jacob Jacoby obtained a PhD in Psychology (with minors in Statistics and Sociology) from Michigan State University in 1966.

From September 1965 through August 1968, he served on active duty as a U.S. Air Force officer.

During September 1968 through June 1981, he was a Professor of Psychology and Head of the Consumer Psychology Program at Purdue University.

Since 1981, he has held an endowed chair as the Merchant’s Council Professor of Consumer Behavior and Retail Management in the Department of Marketing at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern Graduate School of Business.

Jacob Jacoby’s qualifications include those as a scholar and those as an expert in designing and testifying regarding surveys proffered as evidence in litigated matters.
